My first attempt at railfanning - and all things considered, I thought it went pretty well - A shuttle train of a Genesis P32AC-DM pulling a train of Bombardier Shoreliner cars south to Bridgeport on the Waterbury Branch of Metro North in Seymour, CT.
Can someone explain what that weird stuttering noise is when the train pulls in to the station? It doesn’t sound healthy by any stretch of the imagination - might it be a flat wheel or something?PS I shot this in Waterbury, CT 12/18/11
Transferred some video from yesterday to my computer & am in the process of uploading. Here’s the first I’ve uploaded: The shuttle train I took home from New York pulling into South Norwalk station in South Norwalk, CT due for Danbury, CT - a BL20GH (ugh, uglier than sin) - specifically Engine 115, pulling a train of (Don’t quote me on this but I *think* it was 5 Shoreliners. This was train #6862.
Tried to add some spice to the same old boring consist I see on the Waterbury branch. Yay artsyfartsy
Would you believe my lazy ass has yet to post all the stuff I shot on my adventure to New York…which was a month ago?
OH WAIT THE BOYFRIEND REFUSES TO FIX MY COMPUTER UNTIL I GET A COPY OF WINDOWS 7…I guess I should get on that. Because I can’t post youtube links as video posts on the crappy Android app!
Anyhoo, this is the first leg of my trip to New York, the Danbury to South Norwalk bomb shuttle pulling into the station. I have no idea what was pushing us, I would imagine a BL20GH or 2, I didn’t bother looking in Danbury or after I disembarked at South Norwalk. Oops. I was too excited about potentially riding an M8…which happened. So there.
